Once limited to an exclusive audience of 600 at Toronto’s Royal Conservatory of Music, ideacity 2013 will be live-streamed daily for a West Coast audience of over 400 at Vancouver’s Rio Theatre (1660 E. Broadway @ Commercial Drive).

More than just a satellite of the Toronto event, the Rio Theatre will be presenting its own roster of local luminaries and ideacity alumni, as well as hosts Mark Busse, founder of Vancouver’s Creative Mornings series, and Johnathon Vaughn Strebly.

In addition, nightly after-parties will offer participants the chance to rub shoulders and network with the city’s creative elite.

ideacity 2013 speakers will include:

• Michael Green, award-winning Vancouver architect at the vanguard of an international movement towards sustainability in both construction and design.

• Daniel Friedmann, Vancouver-based aerospace executive, physicist and Bible decoder whose book, The Genesis Code, seeks to unify religious and scientific belief.

• Conrad Black, controversial media tycoon.

• Jack Andraka, U.S. science prodigy whose high-school project developed a paper sensor that detects pancreatic, ovarian, and lung cancer in five minutes for only three cents.

• Don Tapscott, one of the world’s leading authorities on innovation, media and the economic and social impact of technology.
