GDC Foundation has started a drive to raise $5,000 by the end of 2018. We need your help building scholarships, grants and benevolent funds to support the design community and profession!

Donate by December 31 and enter the special prize draw.

 

We've reached the $75,000 mark and, with your help, we’re targeting $80,000 this year. Meanwhile, we've awarded $6,000 in supported scholarships since 2012.

There's plenty of good karma to go around! While helping designers, you’ll also be entered in the Get Behind Design campaign draw with loads of special prizes. Just DONATE  by midnight Dec. 31.

The Association of Registered Graphic Designers hosts two annual Design Thinkers Conferences to gather diverse perspectives to explore the processes of design and creativity.

CBC Graphic Standards Manual, Donated by Adrian Jean CGD. 
This is one of the few remaining re-issues of the original 1974 CBC Graphic Stadards Manual. Designed and written in 1974 by Burton Kramer FGDC, it contains 200 pages of detailed instruction for how the original "gem" logo for CBC was to be implemented. The re-issue was researched, designed and produced by Adrian Jean CGD, and is a faithful reproduction of the original manual from highly accurate, full-sized scans of one of the last remaining in-tact copies of the 1974 manual. “It set the standard for Canadian corporate identity programmes and has become a part of our national heritage.” — Adrian Jean CGD. The winner of this prize will receive the book, a signed letter explaining the history and production of the book itself, and free shipping to anywhere (up to a value of $40).

Recognized for its design excellence, Uppercase Magazine is a quarterly craft, fashion, illustration, and design journal published by Janine Vangool in Calgary, Alberta.

Donations must be received by midnight December 31, 2018, to be considered for the draw. Winners will receive only one prize. If your name is not chosen for a Grand Prize, you will be entered in the regular draw. Winners will be required to answer a skill-testing question. It will be a really hard question...yeah, with math!
