Robert L. Peters Receives Icograda President’s Award

Award honours outstanding contributions to the work of Icograda.

On 26 October 2009 Robert L. Peters FGDC was honoured with the Icograda President’s Award from outgoing Icograda President Don Ryun Chang of Korea. The presentation took place at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (the ultra-modern opera house also known as “The Egg”) here in Beijing, with an audience of several thousand present for the opening day of the Xin: Icograda World Design Congress 2009.

I’m truly honored and grateful,” remarked Rob upon receiving the award. “I consider it a great pleasure to have had the opportunity of serving both the Icograda family and the design profession that I love so much. I’ll remember this special occasion, in this very special place, for as long as I live.”

Dean McNeill MGDC, GDC Past-President commented on the listserve upon hearing the news, “I'm sure all on this list have benefited from Robert's sage council and gentle nature. His commitment to the GDC, Icograda and our profession has been, and continues to be, enormous!”
