About GDC Vancouver Island


Our chapter formed in 1993 so that designers, students and associates in related fields from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands could get together, network, build our skill sets, show our work, and host professional development activities. This intially happened because we didn’t want to travel all the way to Vancouver for events, as members of the BC Mainland Chapter!

The chapter breaks down the barriers that our competitive profession creates, and brings together creative individuals to spark ideas and camaraderie. Our mission is to nurture and enrich the local graphic design community, while also contributing as citizens of the national and international design industry.
