The Interaction Design major focuses on design that facilitates experiences between people and environments through emerging technologies. The program places particular emphasis on open source and shared value economies, digital citizenship, the materiality of interactions, and class, race, and gender issues in design for emerging technology. Interaction Design plays an active and strategic role in shaping a sustainable future. It is one of three design majors in the Faculty of Design and Dynamic Media (DDM). The majors in the DDM Faculty share values and goals in areas of collaboration, sustainability, interdisciplinary, technological engagement, new research methods, new approaches to design and to imaginative and provocative work.
