Problem/Need: Redesign, reenergize and rename the University of Manitoba alumni magazine in time to distribute the Fall 2015 print edition to 120,000+ alumni around the world, and launch a new online edition, by early October.

Strategy/Methodology: The new name that we chose was UM Today The Magazine, anchored on the successful UM Today News platform.

Larger and more visually engaging, the magazine is beautifully designed and written to feature our alumni, share University of Manitoba research, teaching and student stories, provide campus news updates, and provide topical, thought-provoking content.

The print edition is published twice per year (Spring and Fall) and the online edition is available year-round. Integrated with the UM Today platform (UM Today News and UM Today Alumni) it is accessible from desktop, tablet and phone.

Results/Impact: Very positive feedback from alumni with regards to content, design and photography.
