Strategy/Methodology
A poster to celebrate the mountain bike trails of Mount Seymour. Located in the District of North Vancouver, BC and the Mount Seymour Provincial Park, the mountain bike trails here are like no other. As unique as they are to mountain biking, so too are their names: Cardiac Bypass, Severed D, Boogieman and Dirty Diapers to name a few.
After becoming familiar with the trails, I thought of a way I could combine my love of maps and geography, cycling and graphic design into one project. The poster serves as an homage to some of the original "North Shore" trails as well as a great design challenge for myself.
Results/Impact
Five dollars from the sale of each poster will be donated to the North Shore Mountain Bike Association (NSMBA) for their ongoing efforts of ensuring trails for all and trails forever. Two copies of the poster were also donated to the NSMBA as part of a spring membership drive draw. The poster was also featured in Applied Arts magazine’s weekly “The Brief” newsletter.
