Carol Hyland balances her creative approach with clean, clear communications to better inform people about a subject or built environment. With more than 25 years of experience, Carol has excelled in graphic and information design related to publishing, exhibition, wayfinding and signage.
Carol has worked across a wide range of sectors including small business, government, cultural and non-profit organizations for local and national organizations. Her understanding of form and space enables her to easily switch from two dimensional to three dimensional projects. This allows Carol the opportunity to work with teams across many design disciplines.
Starting with a diploma in Art in Merchandizing at Langara College in 1983, she specialized in Graphic Design and was fortunate to also land a part time position with the Expo '86 Corporation's sign department on Friday afternoon while attending college. After working in BC and Alberta for several years, Carol went back to school in 2002, and enrolled at Royal Roads University to study commerce. This enables her to have a better understanding for the "business” of a design firm.
Carol enjoys working on complex projects and understands the importance of good processes, time management, and budgeting as it transcends from the creative brief to the finished deliverable. Carol is currently a senior partner at CS Creative with London born typographer Simon Troop.
