Rhea Leibel was a terrible seamstress. She discovered this in her grade 8 home economics class. Unable to fulfill the dreams of her 13 year old self by becoming Oprah's fashion designer, Rhea decided to pursue a career as a graphic designer instead. In 1997, she packed up her paintbrushes and ideas and moved 500 km west from her birthplace of Regina, Saskatchewan to the tumbleweed capital of Canada, Medicine Hat, Alberta. It was there she discovered her love of typography, Swiss grids and The Beatles. After graduating college with a diploma in Visual Communications, Rhea went on to work for Bradbury Branding and Design. After two years she decided to move on to become an art director at Brown Communications Group. She made wonderful friendships there and created memorable work, but after having her baby boy in 2010, she wanted to try something new. Seventeen years after completing college, she has made Farm Credit Canada her design home.
